The role

You will be the dedicated day-to-day marketing partner for Livestock and Machinery, working across marts, sales teams and local operations.

You will understand upcoming priorities, gather customer insight and prepare clear briefs for our functional Marketing Managers. You will coordinate information, deadlines and approvals, ensuring marketing reflects the needs of the sale and the customers we want to reach.

Your contribution will be in understanding, connecting, briefing and following through. You will work with shared specialists for campaign, content, digital and event delivery, with the Marketing Director setting overall direction and priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the portfolio calendar covering sale dates, entry deadlines, major auctions, seasonal activity and events.
  • Build working relationships with auctioneers, machinery colleagues, mart managers and local teams.
  • Gather buyer and seller feedback, regional insight and relevant competitor information.
  • Prepare briefs with clear audiences, commercial objectives, approved sale information, deadlines and response routes.
  • Coordinate pre-sale promotion, entry reminders and buyer communications, and respond quickly to sale results and post-sale stories so H+H communicates significant results accurately and promptly through its own channels.
  • Support targeted acquisition and reactivation activity for new and lapsed buyers and sellers.
  • Gather customer evidence, photography requirements and sales material needs, securing factual checks and permissions.
  • Identify appropriate introductions to wider H+H expertise and track enquiries, entries, registrations and participation with commercial colleagues.
  • Work closely with both functional Marketing Managers, the Content Creator / Designer and the other Commercial Marketing Executives to share insight, agree briefs and coordinate campaigns across H+H.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities from livestock and machinery relationships, brief relevant campaigns with the other executives and ensure introductions reach a named commercial owner.
  • Keep portfolio social media platforms current and publish approved content within H+Hs agreed channel strategy.
  • Plan portfolio content and campaigns with the functional Marketing Managers, agreeing audiences, topics, timing, objectives and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Coordinate expert input and assets with marketing colleagues; monitor responses and improve activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will bring:

  • Experience coordinating marketing activity and producing clear, useful briefs.
  • The ability to manage several deadlines and keep sale information accurate.
  • Confidence building relationships with operational and customer-facing teams.
  • Good written communication and an understanding of campaign planning and customer targeting.
