Role: Commercial Officer
Contract: 10 months
Location: Portsdown West, Fareham
Role Type: Candidate must attend Portsdown West 2 days per week during the first month. Thereafter, attendance will be monthly or as required for meetings.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Commercial Officer / Commercial Manager / Procurement professional with a strong background in sourcing, procurement, and contract management, able to work independently and provide commercial advice to project teams.

They should have experience of:
- Advising project teams on commercial and acquisition strategies.
- Leading competitive and/or single-source procurements.
- Developing ITTs, invitations to negotiate, and tender documentation.
- Managing complex/high-value contracts, including bespoke terms and non-standard pricing.
- Contract performance management, including supplier performance, cost analysis, and contract MI.
- Making authorized changes to cost and schedule and taking appropriate contractual enforcement action.
- Applying commercial judgement to identify the most appropriate commercial approach, assess risks, and achieve the best commercial outcome.
- Using systems/tools for supplier performance, cost analysis, and contract management information.

Strong candidates may also have:
- MCIPS
- DV clearance
- Previous MOD experience
- Research & Development environment experience
- Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft Office
