About the Role

As a Commercial Officer, you will:

  • Support procurement and commissioning activities across a range of service areas within Traffic & Transport
  • Assist with contract management and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Provide commercial advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to tender exercises and procurement projects.
  • Analyse financial and performance data to support decision-making.
  • Help ensure compliance with procurement legislation, Council policies, and best practice.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in procurement, contract management, commercial support, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement and contract regulations would be an advantage.
