Job Title: Commercial Operations Coordinator
Location: Farnborough
Our Vision & Why It Matters
At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.
We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.
What You’ll Do
As a Commercial Operations Coordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day commercial activities of the AD24 Parts and Service business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in commercial operations, contracts, and business analysis within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
You'll provide administrative and coordination support across bids, contracts, pricing, and commercial projects, ensuring information is accurate, organised, and readily available. You'll work closely with colleagues to help maintain commercial records, support tender submissions, coordinate contract documentation, and assist with reporting and performance tracking.
As you develop in the role, you'll gain exposure to commercial analysis, pricing activities, contract governance, and business performance reporting, creating a strong foundation for progression into a Commercial Analyst position in the future.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for a motivated, organised, and detail-oriented individual who is keen to develop a career in commercial operations and business analysis.
You may already have experience in an administrative, customer service, commercial support, sales support, or business coordination role, and be looking for the next step in your career. Most importantly, you'll enjoy working with data, be comfortable using systems and spreadsheets, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
