The Commercial Operation Manager

The Commercial Operation Manager will lead the commercial operations tasks for the cluster Sales & Marketing organisations and regions UK and Benelux. This includes forecasting and sales tracking and analysis, overseeing the contracts and tenders’ management as well as the customer service and technical service coordination activities on a supervisory level. This role is pivotal in driving customer satisfaction, optimizing operational efficiency, and achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the team; prioritize and delegate work to drive high performance.
  • Pricing Management: Oversee pricing governance, annual COGS reviews, pricing policy compliance, and support customer pricing strategies and statutory pricing submissions.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Ensure accurate demand forecasting and lead the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive process improvements and standardize commercial operations across the region.
  • Sales Force Effectiveness: Act as Salesforce super user, maintain territory alignments, support commercial strategy execution, and deliver sales performance reporting.
  • Tender & Contract Management: Oversee tender and contract processes, ensuring timely, high-quality submissions aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Customer Service Management: Ensure efficient, high-quality customer service operations and effective issue resolution.
  • Business & Systems Support: Manage ERP-related processes, vendor and supplier contracts, HCP/congress contract support, and coordinate with shared services and supply chain teams.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Support local affiliate administration and other ad hoc business needs.
