Commercial Partner – Edinburgh – £200,000+ + Bonus

A leading national Legal 500 law firm is preparing to launch a new Edinburgh office and is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Partner to play a key role in establishing its presence in the Scottish market. Working alongside other Partners involved in the launch, you will have the opportunity to help shape the new office from the outset while advising an impressive client base on complex and strategically important commercial matters.

This Commercial Partner role in Edinburgh offers a genuinely entrepreneurial opportunity to be part of a new office launch, with significant scope to influence the development of the firm's Scottish offering. You will benefit from the backing, infrastructure and wider capabilities of an established national firm, whilst having the autonomy and visibility that comes with helping to build a new regional presence. This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Partner in Edinburgh who is looking to take a leading role in establishing and growing a new office.

The Role:

  • Advise clients on a broad range of commercial contracts, outsourcing and technology matters
  • Support businesses on strategic commercial projects across multiple sectors
  • Lead complex, high-value transactions and provide commercially focused legal advice
  • Build and develop long-term client relationships while growing your own practice
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Corporate, Technology, Intellectual Property and Regulatory teams
  • Play a leading role in business development and strategic growth initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior lawyers within the Commercial team
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the Leeds Commercial practice

The Candidate:

  • Qualified Solicitor with extensive experience in commercial law
  • Currently operating at Partner level with a strong commercial background
  • Proven track record of winning work and developing long-term client relationships
  • Existing client following or strong business development credentials advantageous
  • Commercially minded with excellent technical and strategic advisory skills
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience mentoring junior lawyers
  • Ambitious and entrepreneurial with the desire to help grow a leading Commercial practice
