Commercial Partnerships Manager
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Commercial Partnerships Manager based in United Kingdom.
This is a senior commercial partnerships role focused on turning strategic relationships into measurable pipeline, revenue, and business growth across Europe.
You will own a portfolio of acquirers, banks, alternative payment providers, and fraud and risk partners from relationship development through commercial execution.
The role combines partner management, lead generation, co-selling, joint go-to-market initiatives, and direct sales to strategic partners.
You will work closely with sales, product, legal, finance, and other commercial teams to unlock opportunities and convert them into signed business.
Success will be measured through tangible commercial outcomes, including sourced pipeline, deals unlocked, revenue generated, and partnership expansion.
You will operate with significant autonomy in a fast-moving environment where identifying opportunities and turning them into action is central to the role.
The position offers broad exposure to the European payments ecosystem and the opportunity to influence both commercial strategy and product direction.
Accountabilities
- Own end-to-end commercial relationships with a defined portfolio of strategic European partners, acting as the primary commercial point of contact.
- Build and maintain joint account plans covering target accounts, named opportunities, commercial objectives, engagement cadence, and shared priorities.
- Monitor partnership performance through commercial indicators such as live transaction volume, sourced pipeline, revenue share, and active opportunities, taking action when partnerships underperform.
- Generate qualified leads through partner networks by engaging their merchant bases and commercial teams against defined quarterly targets.
- Run joint pipeline sessions with partner sales teams to identify merchants and opportunities where the platform can unlock additional value.
- Establish referral and co-selling mechanisms, including incentive structures, lead-routing processes, and clear commercial responsibilities.
- Design and execute joint go-to-market initiatives, including co-marketing campaigns, industry events, and account-based campaigns targeting specific prospects.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales teams to ensure partner-generated opportunities progress effectively from qualification through close.
- Identify and develop opportunities where strategic partners themselves become customers, including acquiring banks, wallets, fintechs, and other payment providers.
- Manage the full commercial cycle for partner-led customer opportunities, from qualification and solution development through negotiation and contract signature.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, revenue-sharing structures, and commercial terms in collaboration with Legal and Finance.
- Expand existing partnerships into additional markets, products, and business lines.
- Bring commercial and market requirements back to Product teams to help inform product priorities and roadmap decisions.
- Provide market intelligence on competitive dynamics, partner capabilities, and developments across the European payments landscape.
- Represent the organization at relevant industry events and convert market presence and relationships into qualified commercial opportunities.
- Lead quarterly business reviews and joint planning sessions focused on measurable pipeline, revenue, and partnership commitments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
