Our plant Smithfield Murray in Manchester is looking for a Commercial Planning Manager (m/f/d).
What your job includes
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Commercial Team.
- Produce and maintain commercial reports, sales data, and KPI dashboards.
- Prepare presentations, customer meeting packs, and commercial decks.
- Analyse sales, pricing, and margin data to support commercial decision-making.
- Maintain customer price lists, product information, and commercial databases.
- Support forecasting, promotional planning, and customer reviews.
- Coordinate information between Commercial, Planning, Finance, Operations, Technical, and Supply Chain teams.
- Manage customer documentation and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Support new product launches by coordinating commercial information across departments.
- Assist with customer tenders, quotations, and commercial proposals.
- Monitor customer performance against agreed KPIs and highlight trends or issues.
- Produce ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by the Commercial Director.
- Support preparation for customer meetings by gathering relevant business data.
- Respond to customer and internal enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, administration, and commercial processes.
- Ensure all information is handled confidentially and in accordance with company procedures.

What we expect from you

- Business, Commercial, or Finance qualification
- Experience in a commercial support or planning role
- Experience producing reports and analysing data
- Food manufacturing experience (desirable)
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and communication skills
- Commercial awareness with good analytical and numerical ability
- Understanding of commercial reporting and KPIs
- Customer-focused and proactive
- Flexible and adaptable
- Well-organised with the ability to prioritise workload
