About Us
Mecsol is a growing and forward-thinking mechanical services company seeking motivated, reliable, and skilled Commercial Plumbing, Heating & Renewable Engineers to join our team.
We are currently recruiting across a range of experience levels, from Newly Qualified NVQ Level 2 Plumbing & Heating Engineers through to Senior Engineers and Working Supervisors.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and high-value residential projects while developing your skills in renewable and low-carbon heating technologies.
The Role
As part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial plumbing, heating, and renewable energy systems.
You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and fellow engineers to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
What You’ll Do
- Installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of commercial plumbing, heating, and renewable energy systems.
- Installation of pipework, sanitaryware, heating systems, plant equipment, and associated services.
- Installation, commissioning, and servicing of renewable technologies, including Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps.
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical systems.
- Installation of large-diameter flanged pipework and associated plant equipment.
- Installation and commissioning of commercial water softeners and water treatment systems.
- Ensuring all work complies with current legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
- Completing commissioning records, job documentation, and reports accurately.
- Working collaboratively with project teams to deliver projects on time and within specification.
- Representing Mecsol professionally on client sites.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience within commercial plumbing and heating.
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing and heating systems.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Skills
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Experience working within commercial and industrial environments.
- Gas Safe Registration.
- Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pump qualifications and experience.
- Unvented Hot Water qualification.
- Water Regulations qualification.
- Experience commissioning and servicing renewable heating systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
