About Volter

Volter is a top-tier climate VC-backed B2B energy tech platform building the products that make clean, renewable power simple for businesses everywhere. The energy transition is a huge and vital opportunity, but it's currently too difficult for commercial & industrial companies to achieve. Historically, the energy industry has been too opaque, complex and lacking in trust. We're fixing that. We aim to be the "Octopus Energy for industry": a modern tech platform providing new renewable energy products with radical transparency, accelerating deployment of renewables and helping customers cut costs and carbon without complexity.

We're excited to use technology to help our customers deploy & utilise more renewable energy and fast-forward the energy transition - and we need your help!

Role: Commercial & Pricing Associate

We're hiring a Commercial & Pricing Associate to sit at the centre of Volter's revenue engine.

You'll own the day-to-day tender requests coming in from demand customers: pricing them, structuring them, and getting responses back to our partners fast. Speed and responsiveness win deals in this market - you'll be responsible for hitting our SLAs and keeping partners happy while protecting our margins, and what really matters at the end of the day is how many of those tenders you win, not just how fast you turn them around.

This is a full-stack commercial execution role where pricing, partnerships and deal execution meet. You'll work within clear guardrails but be trusted to operate autonomously day-to-day, and you'll also pick up export tendering and quoting for generators.

It's high volume, fast-paced and deadline-driven - and that's exactly why you'll love it.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Tender pricing & deal ownership (core)
    • Own the day-to-day import tenders/RFQs end-to-end: triage, price, structure and respond within SLA
    • Handle a high volume and frequency of deals per day, multi-tasking across live tenders while keeping quality high
    • Develop strong pricing intuition across HH / bespoke contracts: win deals where appropriate, price out where risk-adjusted returns don't meet the bar
    • Take on board commercial feedback and adjust deals as needed to hit our targets across growth and margin
    • Manage deal pipeline, turnaround times and win rates; refine pricing continuously based on market conditions, broker feedback and win/loss analysis

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
