We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Project Controls Engineer to strengthen our project delivery team. This role is central to ensuring robust cost control, accurate forecasting, and effective commercial management across our construction portfolio. You will play a key part in protecting project margins, improving reporting accuracy, and enabling proactive decision-making through structured data and disciplined project controls.

  • Develop and maintain cost-loaded schedules in Microsoft Project aligned with project execution plans.
  • Track project performance against baseline schedule, cost, and productivity targets.
  • Prepare and manage change order requests, ensuring full supporting documentation.
  • Work daily with site teams to capture timesheets, productivity data, delays, and scope changes.
  • Produce weekly and monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts.
  • Monitor actual vs budget and committed vs remaining costs.
  • Review and validate subcontractor invoices for accuracy and contractual compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate client invoicing aligned with contractual milestones.
  • Analyse historical cost data to improve estimating norms across GFS construction.
  • Manage POC, Work Cost, and Gross Margin performance across multiple projects.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong capability in cost control, forecasting, and commercial management.
  • Proven experience with EAC forecasting and variation/change management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • High attention to detail with a structured, analytical approach to reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with site teams and project leadership.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Controls, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in oil & gas or petrochemical construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated track record in project controls and commercial management on large, complex projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and cost-control systems.
