Commercial Project Manager
Location: London one day per week
Type: Full-time

We’re looking for a dynamic Commercial Project Manager to drive financial performance, strengthen project delivery, and influence strategic decision-making across a diverse UK project portfolio. ⭐ What You’ll Own
- Full commercial and financial oversight of live projects from kick-off to completion.
- Leading project forecasting, budgeting and EAC processes to ensure accurate, realistic financial outlooks.
- Monitoring revenue, costs, margins, cash flow and working capital—spotting trends, variances and opportunities early.
- Acting as a trusted partner to Project Managers and Directors, providing challenge, insight and commercially-driven recommendations.
- Assessing the financial impact of variations, claims, change orders and evolving project scope.
- Supporting risk and opportunity management, including margin protection, cost pressures and commercial exposure.
- Contributing to project reviews, recovery plans and key commercial decisions.
- Ensuring billing, cash conversion and financial governance are tight, timely and compliant.
- Delivering clear, accurate project performance reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Driving continuous improvement in commercial management, forecasting and reporting processes.

🎓 What You Bring
Essential:
- Part-qualified accountant or equivalent experience in project finance, commercial finance or project controls.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis capability.
- ERP experience (SAP preferred).
- Excellent Excel skills and analytical strength.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financial performance.
- Confident communicator with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:
- Experience in engineering, automation, construction, manufacturing, logistics or similar project-based sectors.
- Exposure to complex or high-value projects.
- Experience with contracts, variations, claims and change control.
- Understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition.
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent qualification or study.

🎯 Ideal Background
- Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Project Management or similar. Relevant project-based experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
