2873 – Commercial Project Manager
Join a people-centred technology team that thrives on innovation, collaboration and delivering meaningful outcomes. We're looking for a talented and motivated Project Manager with strong commercial expertise to support a major business and technology programme. This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable managing project delivery as they are overseeing commercial aspects including Statements of Work, supplier engagement and financial performance.
📍 Location: Glasgow (Hybrid) plus occasional travel to Bellshill and Perth
🔁 Contract Type: Contract or Permanent considered
The Role
Working within a complex programme environment, you will act as the link between programme teams, procurement and external suppliers, ensuring contractual commitments, commercial obligations and project milestones are effectively managed and delivered. You will be responsible for planning and aligning Statements of Work, monitoring progress against agreed deliverables and providing clear financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
What you’ll do
- Manage project delivery activities across a range of business and technology workstreams
- Plan, review and track progress against Statements of Work (SoWs)
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance
- Provide commercial oversight and reporting to programme stakeholders
- Act as the primary interface between programme teams, procurement and external suppliers
- Support contract management activities including change control and commercial governance
- Challenge costs, identify efficiencies and drive value for money throughout project delivery
- Ensure commercial milestones and contractual deliverables are achieved in line with programme objectives
- Manage supplier relationships and support the resolution of commercial issues where required
What to bring
- Proven Project Management experience within an IT and/or Operational Technology (OT) environment
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, cost control and financial reporting
- Experience working with suppliers, contracts and procurement teams within a programme environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage Statements of Work, commercial milestones and contractual deliverables
- Strong contract and supplier management experience, including negotiation, change control and dispute resolution
- Ability to challenge commercial decisions constructively and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within large-scale transformation, infrastructure or technology programmes would be advantageous
