Covetrus

Covetrus is a global animal-health technology and services leader dedicated to empowering veterinary practice partners to drive improved health and financial outcomes. We bring together products, services, and technology into a single platform that connects our customers to the solutions and insights they need to work best. Our passion for the well-being of animals and those who care for them drives us to advance the world of veterinary medicine.

Join us as Commercial Project Manager

You would be responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of customer-facing and internal commercial projects across Covetrus’ UK and Ireland businesses, spanning Distribution, Veterinary Instrumentation, Technology Solutions and PBG. This role provides the project discipline needed to translate commercial strategy into executed outcomes – from new customer onboarding and contract implementation through to cross-business bundling initiatives, system rollouts and process change.

The role also leads delivery of IT driven initiatives with commercial impact, partnering closely with the IT department to sequence delivery against technical capacity. Operating across multiple business units and two markets, the Commercial Project Manager acts as the connective tissue between Sales, Commercial Operations, Marketing, Technology Solutions, Supply Chain, Finance and IT, ensuring commercial commitments made to customers are delivered on time, on budget and to the standard the business has promised. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong stakeholder management, rigorous planning and the judgement to flag risk early.

More About The Role

Commercial Project Leadership

  • Plan, mobilise and lead commercial and customer-facing projects across UK and Ireland, spanning distribution, veterinary instrumentation, technology and PBG initiatives.
  • Own project scope, timeline, budget and risk log for each initiative, escalating issues before they threaten delivery.
  • Translate commercial and strategic account agreements into structured implementation plans with clear milestones and ownership.
  • Maintain a consolidated project portfolio view across the three markets, prioritising in line with commercial impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Partner with IT leadership (Development, Business Analysis, QA) to understand technical delivery constraints, sequencing, and capacity before committing dates.
  • Maintain a single consolidated portfolio view spanning commercial and IT initiatives, escalating jointly to the Regional Director of Operations and Strategic Projects and IT leadership when priorities conflict.
  • Apply the same project governance discipline, including RAID logs, steering cadence, and status reporting, consistently across both commercial and IT-led workstreams.

Customer Onboarding & Implementation

  • Lead onboarding and implementation for new and expanded customer accounts, including corporate veterinary group and multi-site rollouts.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure pricing, product, technology and supply chain elements of an agreement are implemented as sold.
  • Act as the customer’s primary delivery point of contact during implementation, managing expectations and communication cadence.
  • Track adoption and early performance post-go-live, feeding issues back into Sales and Commercial Operations.

  • Report project portfolio status, risks and outcomes to commercial leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Identify recurring delivery issues and drive process improvements to reduce implementation time and rework.
  • Champion consistent use of project management and CRM tools to improve visibility and forecasting accuracy.
