About us
ICONS (www.interioricons.com) is a fast-growing ecommerce furniture company selling design-led products in the US.
We are a small, founder-led business focused on keeping things simple, using data to make decisions and turning complex problems into efficient, repeatable processes.
The role
We are looking for a highly analytical, digitally savvy and resourceful Commercial Projects & Automation Manager to work directly with the Founder on a changing portfolio of high-impact projects.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports.
You will be given a problem or objective and expected to research it, analyse the data, find solutions and drive the project through to completion. You can use freelancers, developers and other specialists where required.
Projects could include:
- Building data-driven product discovery tools using AI.
- Redesigning ecommerce processes using Google Sheets, Matrixify and other tools.
- Automating repetitive workflows using AI, Make.com or similar platforms.
- Managing external developers/freelancers for more technical projects.
- Building new company processes and handing them over once established.
- Analysing commercial data to identify savings and opportunities.
- Finding and tendering new freight or 3PL providers.
- Researching and contacting suppliers internationally.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
