What you’ll do

As a Commercial Properties Officer, you’ll play a key role in managing and shaping the commercial spaces within our estates. These spaces are more than just ground-floor units—they are vital to creating vibrant, inclusive communities where people can thrive. You’ll deliver a professional and compliant property management service, balancing placemaking priorities with commercial viability to generate income that supports housing and community programmes.

How you’ll do it

  • Manage commercial properties to a high standard, ensuring compliance and excellent service for all tenants.
  • Monitor arrears, collection rates, and property inspections to meet financial and service KPIs.
  • Handle rent and service charge billing, lease renewals, and rent reviews promptly and accurately.
  • Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Building Safety, and Fire Safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of leases, tenancies, and property details to ensure continuity of service.
  • Review supplier contracts and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Manage repairs, cyclical works, and tenant fit-outs, liaising with surveyors and contractors as needed.
  • Develop strategies to let or sell commercial units, maximising value while complementing residential uses.
  • Support initiatives that integrate commercial spaces into thriving communities and promote creative uses.

The ideal candidate

We believe great service starts with great people, and we are committed to recruiting and developing passionate, enthusiastic, and talented individuals who can add value to our thriving organisation.

Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
