Commercial Property Associate Solicitor

The Opportunity
A leading South West law firm is looking to hire a Commercial Property Associate to join its established and highly regarded Real Estate team in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded property lawyer to become involved in a broad range of high-quality, non-contentious commercial property work, acting for an interesting and varied client base across both the public and private sectors.
The team has a collaborative and supportive culture, with the successful candidate given the opportunity to take ownership of significant matters and develop strong, long-term client relationships.
The Role
The successful candidate will undertake a varied range of non-contentious commercial property work, including:
- Property development
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Property and asset management
- Acquisitions and disposals
- Estate management
- Commercial property work for public sector clients
- Advising a broad range of corporate, institutional, and private clients on their property requirements
- Managing complex transactions from inception through to completion
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other professional advisers

The Practice
The Commercial Property team forms part of a broader Real Estate department and acts for a diverse client base across the region and nationally.
The team is known for providing technically strong and commercially focused advice, with lawyers encouraged to take a pragmatic approach and develop a genuine understanding of their clients' businesses and objectives.
The firm offers a flexible and hybrid working environment, alongside modern offices in central Bristol.
Candidate Profile
The firm is looking for a qualified solicitor or equivalent with experience at Associate level within a Commercial Property team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience across a range of non-contentious commercial property matters
- A solid technical understanding of commercial property law
- Experience acting for a variety of clients, including private individuals, corporates, institutional investors, and public sector organisations
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical, client-focused advice
- The ability to manage complex matters with appropriate levels of autonomy
- Confidence in developing and managing client relationships
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
