Role Description
The Commercial Property Consultant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Leighton Buzzard, requiring a qualified solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in commercial property. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of commercial property transactions, such as leases, acquisitions, disposals, and landlord and tenant matters.
- Advising clients on legal and commercial risks.
- Drafting and negotiating contracts and ancillary documentation.
- Liaising with other professionals and stakeholders to progress transactions efficiently.
- Maintaining strong client relationships.
- Providing clear and timely communication.
- Contributing to business development activities to grow the commercial property practice.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.
- Supporting more junior team members when needed.

- Strong consulting and advisory skills, with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic commercial property advice.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues in accessible language.
- Proven customer service focus, with a track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Experience in sales and business development within legal or professional services, including networking and cross-selling.
- Solid technical expertise in real estate and commercial property law, with at least 5 years PQE managing a varied caseload.
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent legal qualification), with current practicing certificate and good knowledge of UK property law.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a small team environment.
- Familiarity with case management systems and standard office software; willingness to adapt to new technologies.
