About the Opportunity

JA Properties Co. is looking to work with an ambitious, commercially minded individual to originate commercial property acquisition opportunities across selected UK markets.

We acquire properties directly, with a particular focus on industrial and warehouse buildings suitable for conversion to self-storage.

This is a self-employed, commission-only opportunity with no basic salary, paying £20,000 for each qualifying acquisition you originate that proceeds to completion.

We're particularly interested in people who can leverage existing commercial property relationships while also proactively creating new opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Originate commercial property acquisition opportunities
  • Build and leverage relationships with commercial agents, owners, surveyors and other market contacts
  • Generate off-market and early-stage opportunities through networking and direct outreach
  • Speak directly with owners to establish whether there is a genuine opportunity to sell
  • Gather the key commercial information needed to assess an opportunity
  • Develop relationships capable of generating repeat deal flow

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll be provided with clear acquisition criteria and target markets, allowing you to focus on opportunities with a realistic prospect of proceeding.

Who We're Looking For

Relevant backgrounds could include:

  • Commercial property agency
  • Acquisitions or investment
  • Commercial surveying
  • Property sourcing
  • Deal origination

Commercial property experience and an existing network of relevant relationships are particularly valuable.

More important than simply monitoring advertised stock is your ability to create opportunities, uncover situations before they reach the wider market and build relationships with people who can generate deal flow.

What We're Acquiring

Remuneration

£20,000 per qualifying acquisition that completes.

A qualifying opportunity must meet our acquisition criteria, be genuinely originated or introduced by you, and not already be known to or under active consideration by JA Properties Co.

The role is self-employed, remote and flexible, with direct access to the acquisition decision-maker.

This could suit an experienced commercial property professional looking to leverage their existing network, or a strong deal originator who wants remuneration directly linked to the value of the opportunities they create.

If you have the relationships, persistence and commercial judgement to uncover opportunities that other buyers aren't seeing, we'd like to hear from you.
