About the Opportunity
An established and highly regarded Top 200 London law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Associate to join its growing Commercial Real Estate team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious practice that advises an impressive client base of developers, investors, landlords, tenants, entrepreneurs, SMEs and international businesses on a broad range of commercial property matters.
The team is continuing to expand and is seeking an experienced lawyer who enjoys taking ownership of matters, building client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers. The Commercial Real Estate team has developed an excellent reputation for delivering excellent advice across a wide variety of real estate transactions. Working closely with specialists in Corporate, Construction, Planning, Real Estate Finance and Dispute Resolution, the team provides clients with seamless support on complex, multi-disciplinary matters.
The Role
You will work directly with experienced Partners on a broad range of high-quality commercial property matters, including:
- Commercial acquisitions and disposals
- Investment purchases and sales
- Commercial landlord and tenant matters
- Drafting and negotiating leases, licences and agreements for lease
- Asset management
- Development projects
- Portfolio management
- Property finance support
- Title due diligence
- Corporate support on property aspects of M&A transactions
- Advising developers, investors, occupiers, lenders and high-net-worth clients

Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- 6+ years' PQE in Commercial Real Estate
- Experience gained at a respected City, West End, regional or international law firm
- Strong experience advising on commercial property transactions
- Experience acting for developers, investors, landlords and tenants
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent technical knowledge of commercial property law
- Experience managing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers would be advantageous
- Business development experience or an interest in helping grow client relationships

The Team
You'll be joining one of the firm's most established practice areas, working alongside experienced Partners and Senior Associates on a varied caseload spanning investment, development, finance and asset management work. The team is known for its collaborative culture and regularly works alongside colleagues in Planning, Construction, Corporate, Real Estate Finance and Dispute Resolution to provide a fully integrated service.
