Referment is working with a well-established regional law firm that advises developers, investors, and businesses on a broad range of commercial property matters. The firm is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join its collaborative team and handle a varied transactional caseload.
This role offers close contact with key clients and senior members of the department. It would suit a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys managing matters independently while contributing to client relationships and the wider development of a practice.
The Role
- Advise on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property.
- Handle landlord and tenant matters across a varied client base.
- Work on secured lending and property development projects.
- Manage your own caseload while maintaining responsive, commercially focused client service.
- Work closely with developers, investors, and trading businesses.
- Contribute to business development and the management of key client relationships.
- Support the development of more junior lawyers where your experience allows.

What We're Looking For
- A qualified solicitor with at least four years’ post-qualification experience in commercial property.
- Broad experience across commercial property transactions, with strong knowledge of acquisitions, disposals, and landlord and tenant work.
- The judgement to give advice that reflects both the legal position and the client’s commercial objectives.
- A proactive, organised, and client-focused approach, with clear written and verbal communication.
- Confidence building relationships and participating in business development.
- Experience supervising junior lawyers would be useful but is not essential.
