Commercial Property Consultant (5+ Years PQE)

About the firm
Our client is a long-established, full-service law firm with a reputation for listening carefully to clients, giving tailored advice and providing a genuinely personal service.
The role
We're recruiting for an experienced commercial property solicitor to join a friendly team and help grow the firm's commercial property practice. You'll manage your own varied caseload, including leases, acquisitions, disposals and landlord and tenant matters.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of commercial property transactions from instruction to completion
- Advise clients on legal and commercial risks in clear, practical terms
- Draft and negotiate contracts and ancillary documentation
- Liaise with other professionals and stakeholders to keep transactions moving
- Build long-term client relationships and contribute to business development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies
- Support and guide more junior team members

About you
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with a current practising certificate and at least 5 years' PQE in commercial property
- Strong technical knowledge of UK real estate and commercial property law
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills, with sound judgement and attention to detail
- Confident communicator who can explain complex legal issues in accessible language
- Proven track record of building long-term client relationships, with experience in business development, networking and cross-selling
- Able to work independently, manage competing deadlines and collaborate in a small team
- Familiar with case management systems and standard office software, and willing to adapt to new technology
