Role Description
The Commercial Property Solicitor will manage a caseload of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, portfolio management, and landlord and tenant work. Daily responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts, conducting due diligence and title reviews, advising clients on risk, and ensuring transactions are completed efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across conveyancing, litigation, and other practice areas to deliver robust, practical advice. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Huddersfield, requiring regular client contact, active file management, and participation in business development activities.

Qualifications

- Strong skills and experience in Commercial Real Estate and Conveyancing, with a proven ability to manage commercial property transactions from instruction to completion.
- Solid grounding in core Law principles, with the capacity to apply them pragmatically in a commercial context.
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent legal qualification) with relevant post-qualification experience in commercial property.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with close attention to detail and risk management.
- Strong client care, communication, and relationship-building capabilities, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, managing deadlines and caseloads independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with changes in property and commercial law.
