About Climarite
Climarite Refrigeration is a growing specialist in commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning. From our base in Lancashire, we deliver installation, servicing, planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown services to customers across a wide range of sectors.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of new business, we are expanding our engineering team and are recruiting Commercial Refrigeration Engineers across the North and Midlands.

The Role
As a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality refrigeration services across a varied customer base.
Your role will include the installation, servicing, maintenance, commissioning, fault-finding and repair of commercial refrigeration systems and associated equipment.
You will work across a range of customer environments and sectors, providing professional and reliable engineering support while maintaining Climarite's high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Respond to reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
- Diagnose faults and identify effective and efficient solutions.
- Complete refrigeration installations and commissioning activities where required.
- Work on a range of commercial refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and in accordance with relevant industry standards.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and other site personnel.
- Represent Climarite positively while working on customer sites.
- Work independently while contributing effectively as part of the wider engineering team.
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge as new technologies, systems and refrigerants are introduced.

About You
We are looking for technically capable, motivated and professional engineers who want to develop their careers within a leading and growing company.
Essential / Required
- Proven experience working as a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer.
- Relevant refrigeration / RACHP qualifications.
- Current F-Gas certification.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- Practical experience working on commercial refrigeration systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Professional approach to customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Strong commitment to health, safety and quality.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
- Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- CO₂ refrigeration systems.
- Ammonia refrigeration.
- Low-GWP refrigerants.
- Large commercial or industrial refrigeration systems.
- Cold rooms and freezer rooms.
- Retail refrigeration.
- Cold stores and distribution centres.
- Food production and manufacturing environments.
- Planned preventative maintenance contracts.
- Refrigeration installation and commissioning.

Climarite currently provides refrigeration services across the North of England and Midlands, with its wider service area including Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire.
