The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for implementing the strategic vision for the Commercial Specification Team across the South of England and Wales. Acting as an ambassador for Nuaire, they will be leading the team to develop customer relationships and exceed sales and performance targets set. Central to the role will be collaborative working with Nuaire’s cross-functional teams to fully develop the market area for future profitable growth. Travel to support the team and customers can be expected.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the Specification Sales Team to exceed sales targets and key performance targets; including team organisation and performance, motivation and recognition, internal processes and procedures, training (coaching and mentoring) and talent management (including recruitment and succession planning).
- Forecast and set sales targets, track and report on sales performance, customer and market/ competitor activity and initiatives on a weekly/monthly basis, reporting directly to the Sales Director.
- Develop the Specification Sales by supporting and accompanying team members on regular customer visits, holding professional meetings, seminars and events; some of which may be outside of normal working hours.
- Act as an ambassador for Nuaire externally and within the business and be a role model for fostering a positive culture amongst all employees.
- Ensure communication and close working relationships are developed with the internal commercial sales office, technical teams and wider company areas.
- Host and organise monthly team coordination meetings providing opportunities for training, feedback and fostering team collaboration.
- Ensure team members provide regular and accurate updates to the Project Tracking system to support internal processes and communication.
- Report market conditions and competitor activity into the business and identify future potential growth areas for exploration and support marketing initiatives to actively promote Nuaire product ranges internally and externally in order to maintain high levels of brand and product awareness.
- Work collaboratively with Nuaire Product Managers and NPD teams to identify future product development growth opportunities.
- Gain and maintain product and technical competence across the Nuaire product range and confidently present product and control information to a wide audience.
- Support the Sales Director to achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and making recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
- Assist in strategically planning and coordinating major projects from initial enquiry to order placement.

Key Performance Indicators
- Achievement of sales budgets by all team members.
- Two accompaniment days per week with the team.
- Forecasting monthly orders to within 10% accuracy.
- Respond promptly to report requests from the Sales Director.
- Evidence of proactive team mentoring, performance reviews and development.
Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):
Essential:
- Self-motivated, highly organised and capable of motivating a team to achieve.
- Enthusiastic about the product, team and able to respond positively in the face of setbacks in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Proven field sales track record of achievement and/or management of a field sales team.
- Demonstrated experience of leading and/ or motivating a team with initiative and enthusiasm.
- Is self-aware with good people skills - has an available and approachable style, able to gain the respect and trust of customers and colleagues.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Relationships with Consultants and End Clients
- Knowledge and understanding of UK Building Regulations and application within the Commercial ventilation marketplace.
- Proven analytical skills and budgetary control experience.
- Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills.
- Effective communication and presentation/ report writing skills.
- Good IT skills for administration (Microsoft Office or equivalent).
- A current driving license.

Desirable:
- Conversant with project and lead generation software, although training will be provided.
- Degree/ ONC/ HNC/ HND or equivalent in engineering, science or business-related subjects.
- Technical knowledge of ventilation products would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided. Equally important is the willingness to understand technical products.
