Commercial & Residential Property Solicitor
Salary: £55,000 - £80,000
Location: Croydon Area | Hybrid Working, Quality Caseload & Career Progression

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial & Residential Property Solicitor to join their established and growing Property Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys managing client relationships, handling varied transactions, and delivering practical legal advice as part of a collaborative team.

The Opportunity
As a Commercial & Residential Property Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload whilst working closely with colleagues and clients across a wide range of property matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of commercial and residential property transactions from instruction through to completion
- Advising clients on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Handling commercial property acquisitions and disposals
- Drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, transfers, licences and associated legal documentation
- Advising landlords and tenants on commercial and residential matters
- Managing lease renewals, assignments and lease extensions
- Conducting title investigations and due diligence
- Advising on secured lending and refinancing transactions
- Liaising with clients, lenders, agents, developers and other stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional obligations
- Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship management

About You
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Minimum 3 years' PQE within property law
- Experience gained within a UK legal practice
- Proven ability to manage a mixed property caseload independently
- Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing and commercial property transactions
- Experience handling acquisitions, disposals, leases and landlord & tenant matters
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Strong client care and relationship management abilities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach
