Do you have a passion for commercial property and a track record of delivering value from retail assets?
At GTR, we're looking for an ambitious Commercial Retail Unit Surveyor to help maximise income, enhance customer experience and unlock opportunities across our extensive station retail portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of station retail units, leading lease events, driving income growth and working directly with tenants to create vibrant, commercially successful station environments.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of station retail units to maximise commercial performance.
- Leading lease renewals, rent reviews, new lettings and other lease events.
- Identifying opportunities to increase revenue and reduce voids.
- Building strong relationships with tenants and acting as their primary commercial contact.
- Using footfall, sales and performance data to drive decision making.
- Supporting tenant mix strategies that improve both customer experience and commercial returns.
- Working collaboratively with operations, station teams, safety, finance and property management partners.
- Ensuring all commercial activity complies with governance, safety and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For
We're interested in people who can demonstrate:
- Experience in commercial property, asset management or retail estate management.
- A proven track record of delivering lease events and commercial negotiations.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- The ability to analyse data and turn insight into action.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to solving problems and delivering results.

Desirable Experience
- Transport, infrastructure or travel retail environments.
- Turnover rent models and retail performance analytics.
- Working with managing agents and outsourced property management providers.
- Knowledge of high-footfall operational environments.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
- MRICS/FRICS qualification desirable, or working towards chartered status.
