Commercial Sales Manager

£50K Plus Bonus
Woolpit (Field Based / Office)
Full time | Permanent | Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their recruitment supplier. We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Sales Manager to join their team.

The main purpose of this Commercial Sales Manager role is to look for secure profitable work across the commercial, industrial, public-sector, and construction markets. The successful person will take ownership of the full sales process: identifying opportunities, building relationships, understanding client requirements, coordinating estimates and proposals, negotiating terms, and supporting a professional handover to operations.

In return, our client is offering a salary of £50,000 P/A, plus bonus.

This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and approach target contractors, developers, facilities managers, consultants, property groups, utilities, local authorities, and industrial clients.
  • Build and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline, with accurate values, stages, next actions, probabilities, and expected order dates.
  • Develop long-term relationships with decision-makers and become a trusted point of contact for drainage and civils requirements.
  • Attend sites, understand the problem, gather accurate information, and work with estimating and operations to establish a practical scope.
  • Set an effective weekly structure covering prospecting, meetings, site visits, quotations, follow-ups, and account development.
  • Keep records and forecasts current, follow up when promised, and communicate problems early.

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven commercial sales or business-development experience.
  • Strong client communication and negotiation skills.
  • Organized pipeline and diary management; commercially aware.
  • UK Driver's Licence.
