Job Summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team based at Kingstown Industrial Estate, Carlisle, Cumbria.

This is a mobile role covering Cumbria and Southwest Scotland.

The successful candidate will attend customer sites to carry out reactive call-outs, installations, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works as required.

You will work on a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment from various manufacturers, supporting a number of high-profile customers across the hospitality, education, food, and manufacturing sectors.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out installations of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment in line with customer specifications.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
  • Complete routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works.
  • Produce condition reports, identifying and documenting any remedial works required.
  • Ensure all refrigeration systems comply with relevant industry standards, environmental regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all work undertaken.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times.

What You Will Bring

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the refrigeration and HVAC industry.
  • Proven experience in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning service, maintenance, and installation.
  • A current F-Gas certification.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • A flexible approach to work, including participation in the on-call rota.
