Commercial Service Manager – Energy & Building Services
Lead and grow a national technical service operation across commercial renewable-energy systems.
This is not a domestic, retail or automotive aftersales role. It is a commercial and operational leadership position within a technically demanding, field-based engineering environment.
Myriad Products is a well-established renewable-energy business with more than 20 years’ experience installing and maintaining commercial solar PV, biomass and low-carbon heating systems across the UK.
We are looking for a Commercial Service Manager to lead our growing service operation, develop our portfolio of long-term maintenance contracts and drive profitable growth across solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps and biomass.
You do not necessarily need to come directly from renewable energy. You may have developed your experience in commercial HVAC, building services, technical facilities management, industrial heating, plant maintenance, energy services or another large-scale field-service engineering environment.
What matters is that you understand how to lead a technical service operation, manage commercial contracts and build trusted relationships with commercial and industrial customers.
About You
You are a commercially minded service professional with experience in a technical, commercial or industrial environment. Your background is likely to include large-scale HVAC, building services, M&E, technical facilities management, industrial plant, energy services or renewable energy. You will be accustomed to supporting business-critical systems across commercial, industrial or large institutional facilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You will have:
- Experience in commercial or industrial technical services, rather than consumer or automotive aftersales
- A strong understanding of service contracts, recurring revenue, margin, renewals and customer retention
- Experience leading or coordinating engineers, technical teams, subcontractors or field-service operations
- Exposure to planned and reactive maintenance, scheduling, SLAs and service performance
- The credibility to work effectively with engineers, facilities teams and senior commercial customers
- The ambition to take broader ownership of a growing service business
Direct renewable-energy experience is advantageous but not essential. Experience in a comparable technical service environment, combined with a genuine desire to move into renewable energy, is equally relevant.
