Overview

SolarTech is building a high-performance commercial sales team focused on closing large-scale solar projects across the UK.

This is not a typical sales role. There is no salary, no hand-holding, and no ceiling. This is a commission-only, independent contractor position for individuals who want to operate at a high level, take ownership of opportunities, and earn based on results.

If you are structured, commercially sharp, and capable of managing complex deals end-to-end, this role gives you the platform to build serious income.

Compensation

  • Commission-only (self-employed / contractor)
  • Realistic OTE: £80,000 – £350,000+
  • No cap on earnings

What You’ll Be Doing

You will own and manage commercial solar opportunities from first conversation through to signed contract and handover. This includes:

  • Running structured discovery meetings with business decision-makers
  • Understanding energy usage, financial drivers, and commercial constraints
  • Qualifying opportunities properly (ownership, demand profile, decision process, timeline)
  • Positioning solutions (cash, finance, PPA) in a commercially intelligent way
  • Managing the full sales cycle: discovery → proposal → negotiation → close
  • Working with internal teams (design, finance, operations) to progress deals
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and deal progression
  • Protecting deal margin, structure, and integrity

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
