£40,000 - £45,000

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Solar Surveyor to support the delivery of commercial and industrial solar PV projects. The role involves carrying out technical site surveys, assessing roof and ground-mounted solar opportunities, and providing accurate data to support system design, pricing, and project delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with sales, design, and installation teams to ensure projects are technically viable, compliant, and delivered efficiently.

Duties

  • Conduct on-site surveys for commercial and industrial solar PV installations.
  • Assess roof structures (flat, pitched, metal, asbestos awareness), ground conditions, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Measure and record roof dimensions, orientations, shading, and access constraints.
  • Evaluate existing electrical systems, including supply capacity and connection points.
  • Identify Health & Safety risks and site-specific hazards.
  • Capture accurate photos, drawings, and survey data.
  • Produce clear and detailed survey reports for design and engineering teams.
  • Liaise with clients, landlords, and site managers during surveys.
  • Support DNO application data gathering where required.
  • Ensure surveys comply with relevant standards, regulations, and company procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
