Commercial Solicitor – 2-6PQE – Leeds – Competitive Salary

A leading commercial law firm with an excellent reputation for practical, commercially focused legal advice is looking for a Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join its thriving Leeds team. You will advise a diverse client base ranging from ambitious SMEs to household-name national and international brands on a broad spectrum of commercial matters, with the opportunity to develop expertise across commercial contracts, IT, intellectual property and data protection.

This Commercial Contracts Solicitor role in Leeds offers an excellent opportunity for a 2–6 PQE lawyer ready to take on greater responsibility, develop client relationships and play an active role within a growing Commercial practice. With increasing autonomy over client matters, opportunities to mentor junior lawyers and genuine scope to contribute to business development, this is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Solicitor in Leeds looking to progress within a collaborative and commercially minded team.

The Role:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements
  • Advise on supply, purchase and distribution contracts and outsourcing arrangements
  • Support clients on media, marketing and technology agreements
  • Provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice on day-to-day issues and strategic projects
  • Lead client matters with increasing autonomy and responsibility
  • Develop and strengthen your own client relationships across a diverse client base
  • Mentor and support junior members of the Commercial team
  • Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the Commercial practice

The Candidate:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 2–6 years' PQE in commercial law
  • Demonstrable experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Strong technical ability with a practical and solution-oriented approach
  • Experience advising on a broad range of commercial agreements
  • Experience with IT matters including SaaS, software licensing and systems integration
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Proactive and commercially minded with a genuine appetite for business development
  • Ambitious and collaborative with a desire to take on greater responsibility
