Data Privacy Solicitor – 3-7 PQE – Manchester – Salary up to £90k
A leading international law firm with an outstanding reputation for its specialist Data, Privacy & Cyber practice is looking for a Data Privacy Solicitor to join its growing team. With an internationally minded client base spanning leading brands, multinationals and innovative businesses, you will advise clients across the UK, Ireland, Europe and internationally on a broad range of data protection, privacy and cyber matters.
This Data Privacy Solicitor role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated and commercially focused matters across workplace privacy, data processing, data transfers, data breaches, AI governance, ad tech and M&A support. With genuine client exposure, international work and opportunities to develop your business development skills, this is an excellent opportunity for a Data Privacy Solicitor at 3–7 PQE looking to progress within a collaborative and ambitious specialist team.
The Role:
- Advise clients across the full spectrum of data protection, privacy and cyber matters
- Support businesses on workplace privacy, employee monitoring, DSARs and privacy policies
- Advise on complex data processing arrangements, vendor onboarding and data agreements
- Support clients on data breaches, incident response, Freedom of Information and international data transfers
- Advise on AI governance programmes, risk assessments, policies and ongoing AI assurance
- Provide specialist data protection advice throughout the lifecycle of M&A transactions
- Support clients with privacy governance programmes, including ROPAs, privacy technology and privacy by design
- Develop strong client relationships while contributing to business development and the continued growth of the practice

The Candidate:
- Qualified Solicitor with 3–7 years' PQE in a Data, Privacy & Cyber team
- Strong technical knowledge across data protection, privacy and related regulatory matters
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Commercially minded with a proactive, responsive and solutions-focused approach
- Confident taking responsibility for work output and dealing directly with clients
- Collaborative team player who enjoys supporting and developing junior colleagues
- Ambitious and keen to continue developing technical expertise and client relationships
