For our client in the Public Sector (Procurement), we are recruiting a Commercial Strategic Lead to provide high-level commercial leadership on a major Ministry of Defence initiative focused on strengthening Defence supply chain resilience.
What You Would Be Leading
- Providing strategic leadership across the YUCCA project, translating complex analytical outputs (value chain mapping, policy and industry insights) into clear commercial strategies.
- Designing and coordinating commercial policies into coherent sector strategies that support wider Defence and national economic security objectives.
- Building and maintaining senior relationships across industry and government to align efforts, secure feedback and gain support for key policy proposals.
- Offering a strategic overview of programme delivery, turning complex analysis into actionable decisions and outcomes.

What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience developing commercial strategies and policies based on complex analytical evidence.
- Strong project management and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities, including at senior industry and government level.

Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of defence supply chains, critical minerals or broader global economic security issues.
Role Snapshot
- Position: Commercial Strategic Lead
- Day rate: approx. £710-730 (umbrella, inside IR35)
- Duration: 7 months
- Location: London, around 2 days per week on site
- Clearance: active SC clearance is highly advantageous
