Position Summary:
This role sits within the Global Media Distribution team in London and is responsible for providing dedicated commercial analytics, strategic insights, and data-driven support across the region's media distribution portfolio. The individual will work across three core pillars: League Pass & DTC analytics, international audience measurement, and commercial sales insights partnering closely with the GMD Sales team, the Media Research & Insights Analyst, and cross-functional stakeholders across the London office.
Major Responsibilities:
Commercial Sales & Strategic Insights:
- Partner with the GMD Sales team to provide audience insights, market research, and analytical support for partner meetings, pitches, and strategic business development opportunities.
- Support the valuation, positioning, and storytelling of media assets through audience analysis, consumer insights, and performance data.
- Conduct competitive analysis, industry benchmarking, and market research to identify trends and growth opportunities, developing data-driven materials that strengthen partner narratives and revenue initiatives.
International Audience & Media Analytics:
- Lead international viewership analytics and reporting across the NBA and affiliate leagues, delivering actionable insights on audience performance, consumption behaviors, and regional trends.
- Serve as the London office subject matter expert on audience measurement methodologies, providing education, consultation, and best practices to improve stakeholder utilization of audience data.
League Pass, Fan Data & Marketing Insights:
- Own end-to-end League Pass analytical support across EME
- Support Marketing and Consumer teams with Known Fans analysis, audience segmentation, and fan acquisition and engagement insights.
- Serve as analytical resource for ad-hoc cross-departmental requests and lead data analytics projects. (Known Fans/NBA IDs, All-Star voting analysis etc.).

Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficiency in data visualization software such as Tableau and Power BI is a must
- Proficiency in SQL is a must
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with comfort working with large datasets and translating complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Ability to present data and insights in a distilled and easily understandable format
- Knowledge of media industry metrics, audience measurement methodologies, and subscription/DTC business models
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with AI tools and automation workflows is advantageous
Experience Needed:
- 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or commercial strategy, preferably within media, sports, or subscription-based services
- Experience supporting commercial or sales teams with data-driven insights and strategic recommendations
- Familiarity with major analytics, data visualization, and reporting tools
- Experience working in a cross-functional, international environment is advantageous
Educational Background Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field
- Further education in a relevant discipline is advantageous
