Responsibilities / Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Strategy Lead to shape and drive the commercial success of our global Value, Access & Outcomes (VAO) practice. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy across our Market Access, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), Patient-Centered Outcomes (PCO), and Real-World Evidence (RWE) businesses.

Working closely with senior leaders across the practice, you'll help strengthen our commercial approach, improve business development effectiveness, enable sustainable growth, and ensure we continue delivering exceptional value to clients across the globe.

As Commercial Strategy Lead, you'll work at the intersection of strategy, commercial operations and business development. You'll:

  • Develop and deliver the commercial strategy for the VAO practice, identifying opportunities for sustainable growth across existing and emerging markets.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to shape service offerings, value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead the evolution of our commercial model, creating greater consistency and collaboration across multiple service lines while recognising the unique needs of each business.

  • Drive account planning, opportunity management and pipeline visibility, helping teams focus on the highest-value growth opportunities.
  • Support sales teams and senior client leaders to strengthen client relationships, improve proposal quality and increase conversion of strategic opportunities.
  • Use commercial data and market insight to inform strategic decisions, optimise performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with marketing colleagues to align commercial and marketing activity, supporting brand awareness, lead generation and client engagement.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing business development team, creating a collaborative culture focused on excellence, innovation and continuous learning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
