What you will do
Kenvue is currently recruiting for multiple: Commercial Student Placements This position is based at our Reading office (hybrid working policy) running from June 2027 --> July 2028
What does our Commercial team do at Kenvue?
This team is Kenvue’s key point of contact with our many customers, from large national retailers to local pharmacies. Our Commercial team manage accounts, develops and maintains relationships, sells products, guides our commercial pricing strategy and ultimately deliver our sales targets.
It’s not about making a quick buck or being on the phone everyday. We have been working with our customers for many years so this is more about strategic partnering and joint business planning. Join us and you’ll receive all the training and support you need to get to know our products inside and out and help deliver against our sales targets by building strong partnerships with internal colleagues and customers. You will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of activities such as preparing and executing plans to share with retailers, keeping the team up to date with what is happening in retailers for our products and competitors via store visits. You may be responsible for conducting business analysis and tracking and make recommendations to the business. From day one, you'll be given real responsibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the business, developing skills in relationship building, stakeholder management, problem solving and commercial decision-making. Also, expect to work closely with the Marketing team to create engaging plans that will result in the “Triple Win” (for our Consumers, our Customers and for Us).
No two days are the same within the Customer Development team at Kenvue. There are also opportunities throughout the year to take part in cross-functional projects and have contact with senior leaders in the business.
Responsibilities
- Regular store visits.
- Tracking and reporting sales figures.
- Taking ownership of specific brands or areas of the business and becoming a key contact for day-to-day account activities.
- Supporting customer and buyer conversations, helping to build commercially beneficial proposals for both Kenvue and the customer.
- Working alongside Shopper Marketing to create effective point-of-sale material.
- Monitoring stock levels, availability and promotional performance, particularly during key seasonal events and major activations.
- Supporting the successful execution of promotional activity and new product launches.
- Supporting the creation of strategies for each brand alongside the Marketing team.
- Working cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Shopper, Category and Marketing teams to deliver customer plans and resolve challenges.
- Presenting recommendations and insights to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Carrying out business planning activities such as forecasting and trade investment management.

What we are looking for
- 2 years of degree level study completed.
- A minimum of 2:1 achieved in first year of study.
- Business-related degree or evidenced experience/interest.
