The Surface Commercial Specialist team drives Microsoft Surface, Copilot+ PC, and AI device adoption across strategic enterprise and public sector customers. As a Surface Solution Area Specialist, you will act as the device and endpoint subject matter contact within the account team, helping customers modernize end-user computing, accelerate AI readiness, improve security, and maximize the value of the Microsoft platform.

You will own Surface and Copilot+ PC opportunities from qualification through deployment and repeat purchase, working closely with Account Teams, Partners, Technical Specialists, and Customer Success resources. This opportunity will allow you to deepen consultative selling skills, build trusted relationships with customer decision makers, and help customers adopt hardware solutions that enable Modern Work, Security, and AI transformation outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own Surface and Copilot+ PC sales opportunities from qualification through close, deployment, repeat purchase, and customer value realization.
  • Act as the primary customer interface, driving strategic engagement, synthesizing stakeholder inputs, and delivering clear, outcome driven recommendations aligned to customer priorities.
  • Develop and execute account plans across assigned enterprise and public sector customers, creating and maintaining qualified and committed pipeline to deliver revenue targets.
  • Drive hardware refresh, new customer acquisition, and device-led growth motions across Microsoft Surface, Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and AI-enabled endpoint experiences.
  • Build trusted relationships with business and IT decision makers, positioning Surface, Copilot+ PC, device management, security, and Microsoft platform value as a complete endpoint solution.
  • Lead opportunity orchestration across Account Executives, Technical Specialists, Partners, Customer Success teams, and other internal stakeholders to scale sales execution and customer reach.
  • Identify and remove deployment blockers, align resources, and support adoption plans that improve customer satisfaction and accelerate realization of Modern Work, Security, and AI transformation outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND several years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • OR several years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Quota-carrying commercial sales experience with a demonstrable multi-year attainment record.

Additional Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field AND several years of technology-related sales or account management experience; OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND several years of technology-related sales or account management experience; OR equivalent experience.
  • Several years of solution or services sales experience.
  • Experience selling Surface, Windows, Microsoft 365, Copilot, security, endpoint management, device lifecycle, or AI-enabled workplace solutions to enterprise or public sector customers.
  • Experience developing account plans, managing pipeline, orchestrating virtual teams, and working with partners to drive customer adoption and revenue growth.
  • UK commercial ecosystem knowledge, with even experience of selling to or through partners and distribution.
  • UK Commercial Business-decision-maker access — CFO/COO/HR-level conversations about workplace experience and cost of AI, not just IT.
  • Modern deployment, endpoint security and identity familiarity.

Solution Area Specialists IC4

The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 74,400.00 - £ 105,900.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
