Commercial Surveyor (RICS Registered Valuer) Cambridge | Commercial Valuations | Recently Qualified to Associate Level
Our client, a highly respected property consultancy, is seeking a RICS-qualified Commercial Surveyor and Registered Valuer to join its growing Commercial Valuations team in Cambridge.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified surveyor through to Associate level, offering exposure to a diverse range of commercial property valuations across Cambridge and the wider Eastern region.
The role is ideally suited to an ambitious individual looking to further develop their valuation career within a collaborative and highly regarded team, while building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional professional advice.
The Opportunity
Based from the firm's flagship Cambridge office (minimum two days per week), you will work closely with established teams across commercial, planning and development, and rural property disciplines. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver valuation advice for a range of purposes including:
- Loan security valuations (vacant possession and investment)
- Internal decision-making
- Taxation
- Financial reporting
- Undertake property inspections and site assessments.
- Carry out market, comparable, demographic and economic research.
- Conduct planning and statutory investigations.
- Analyse company trading information where appropriate.
- Review and interpret leases, development agreements and option agreements.
- Prepare valuation reports and development appraisals.
- Support the delivery of large-scale valuation projects, including work for public sector and educational clients.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the Eastern region.
- Ensure all reports are completed in accordance with RICS Valuation Standards and client requirements.
- Contribute to business planning initiatives and continuous improvement of internal systems and processes.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess:
- MRICS qualification and Registered Valuer status.
- Post-qualification experience within commercial property valuation (preferred).
- A strong understanding of commercial property markets and valuation methodologies.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach to business development.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
