Are you an experienced systems delivery leader who thrives on translating business needs into powerful technology solutions?
We're looking for a Commercial Systems Lead to play a pivotal role in Project Falcon, one of Tarmac's most significant transformation programmes. In this role, you'll lead the delivery of Commercial domain solutions, ensuring business requirements are transformed into scalable, high-quality systems that support the future of our organisation.
Working closely with Commercial, Technical, Integration and Delivery teams, you'll be the crucial link between business ambition and technical execution, helping drive successful programme outcomes while maintaining robust governance, quality and solution integrity.

Key responsibilities include:
- Converting approved Commercial requirements into functional specifications, technical designs and delivery plans.
- Leading solution design activities and maintaining the Commercial systems baseline.
- Coordinating configuration, development and integration work across internal teams and strategic partners.

- Defining and managing interfaces across enterprise platforms including SAP ECC, Salesforce and other business-critical systems.
- Facilitating solution workshops, balancing business needs with platform capabilities and programme standards.
- Supporting testing activities across system, integration, performance and security testing phases.
- Driving defect triage and resolution, ensuring issues are understood, owned and successfully remediated.
- Producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, support artefacts and solution records.
- Supporting programme readiness, cutover activities and successful go-live execution.
- Enabling smooth service transition and knowledge transfer into BAU support teams.
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies and progress reporting through programme governance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
