The Commercial Systems Manager Opportunity
Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced Commercial Systems Manager with strong Oracle Primavera Unifier experience to join our Commercial team in Manchester.
As part of our digital transformation strategy, you'll take ownership of the administration, governance and continuous improvement of Oracle Primavera Unifier, supporting the transition from existing CVR processes and ensuring the system effectively supports commercial management across major projects.
Working closely with Commercial, Project Controls, Digital and IT teams, you'll drive system adoption, improve data quality and develop effective reporting and insights to support informed decision-making.
What will the role look like?
- Lead the administration, configuration and ongoing management of Oracle Primavera Unifier across the business.
- Manage system access, security, workflows, templates, processes and governance.
- Support the implementation, integration and continuous improvement of Unifier across major projects.
- Work closely with Commercial and Project Controls teams to ensure the system meets business requirements.
- Provide system support, troubleshooting, guidance and training to users across the business.
- Develop user guidance, processes and best practice documentation to drive consistent system adoption.
- Support the development of reporting, dashboards and management information to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Coordinate system testing, upgrades and enhancements, working closely with Digital, IT and software vendors.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through effective use of systems, data and automation.
- Act as a key point of contact for Oracle Primavera Unifier, supporting stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.

What skills & experience are we looking for?
- Strong hands-on administration and configuration of Oracle Primavera Unifier, ideally within a construction, engineering or infrastructure environment.
- Proven track record of implementing, transitioning and optimising Unifier, with a strong understanding of systems governance, data management and business processes.
- Knowledge of Thinkproject CEMAR or similar contract management platforms is desirable.
- Familiarity with Power BI and commercial reporting tools is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident providing user support, training and guidance, with the ability to work collaboratively across Commercial, Project Controls, Digital and IT teams.
