Technology Senior Associate | Bristol | Top 50 Firm | £100k+
Technology, data protection, AI, and digital transformation. Looking for a role where you can work across a broad range of high-quality technology matters while continuing to develop your expertise?
I’m working with a Top 50, highly ranked UK firm that is looking to hire a Technology Senior Associate at 7+ PQE for its growing Bristol team.
The role offers a particularly broad mix of work, with data protection forming a key part of the caseload, alongside technology projects, digital transformation, cyber, AI, and wider commercial matters.

The firm has continued to grow while maintaining a genuinely collaborative environment, with Partners and senior lawyers taking an active role in developing their teams.

The Role
You’ll join an established and growing Technology team advising a broad range of clients, from major international technology businesses through to large corporates and organisations deploying technology across their businesses.

The client base spans a number of sectors, including Financial Services, Energy, Transport, Defence, Retail, Health, and Real Estate.
Data protection will be a particularly important part of the role, making this a strong opportunity for someone who wants to continue developing their privacy expertise while remaining exposed to a much wider range of technology work.
You’ll also work closely with Partners and other senior lawyers on key client relationships, while supporting and developing more junior members of the team.
What they’re looking for
- 7+ PQE, although relevant experience is more important than the number
- Experience across Technology, Commercial, Data Protection, Outsourcing, Procurement, Digital Transformation, Software Licensing, or Cyber
- Strong data protection experience would be particularly relevant
- Commercial and pragmatic approach to client advice
- Confident managing complex and varied workloads
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Someone who is keen to develop their expertise in areas such as AI, innovation, and digital advisory
