Commercial Technical Support Specialist, Catalog Product – Remote (based in UK, Germany, or France)
Job Scope
GenScript's Catalog Product Business Unit is expanding in Europe and is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Technical Support Specialist. In this role, you will act as the key liaison between the European commercial teams, customers, and internal departments, advancing GenScript's immunology, cell separation, and cell therapy/reagent product lines across Europe.
The success of this role hinges on a proactive, commercially minded individual with a strong scientific background, a solutions-driven mindset, and the ambition to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities
Product Line Support & Commercial Promotion
- Formulate and implement non-sales strategies for cell separation products in Europe under the guidance of your line manager, ensuring achievement of objectives.
- Provide non-sales-oriented commercial promotion and technical support for the immunology cell separation product line.
- Promote and position GenScript’s Cell Therapy/Reagent product lines in Europe, raising regional awareness and industry recognition.
- Support local commercial teams by:
- Conducting customer profiling and mapping to refine target market segmentation.
- Developing targeted customer visits, presenting professional product ideas, and leading technical training/on-site application guidance to enhance users' proficiency.
- Rendering comprehensive technical assistance, including consulting sessions, application Q&A, and proposing solutions.

Market Intelligence & Collaboration
- Continuously monitor market trends, regulatory shifts, and technical innovations in the European cell therapy and reagent landscape.
- Compile market insights and customer feedback to guide new product R&D and optimization strategies.
- Conduct competitive analysis, identifying technical advantages of rivals to produce market research reports that inform corporate decisions.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration with R&D, marketing, and commercial teams to streamline product development and execution in the European market.
Operational Roles
- Travel internationally up to 50% to facilitate training, presentations, and visits as needed.
- Fulfill additional project-specific responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
Education
- MSc or PhD in disciplines such as Immunology, Structural Biology, Protein Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or Medicine.
Experience
- 1 – 2 years of commercial experience in life sciences (preferably with certification-based product lines, including cell separation, cell therapy, or reagents).
Technical & Industry Skills
- Strong market research and information analysis capabilities, synthesising insights into impactful reports.
- Problem-solving mindset, agile logical thinking, and ability to connect quickly with customers and internal stakeholders.
Soft Skills & Attributes
- Commercial aptitude with strong communication and persuasive expression;
- Excellence in cross-department collaboration, resolving hurdles via teamwork;
- Responsibilities and adaptability in a dynamic, EMEA-focused environment.
Language Proficiency
- Fluent in English (essential).
- Bonus: Fluency in German, French, or Chinese considered highly advantageous.
