Bauer Media Audio - Architect for Commercial Technology
Bauer Media Audio is Europe’s leading commercial audio broadcaster. We are evolving the world of audio through innovation across Broadcast and Digital. You’ll join our collaborative architecture practice and work closely with the Audio Advertising Platform, Commercial and Data teams across multiple markets.
The Difference you will make
As an Architect for Commercial Technology, you will shape the platforms that power our commercial business, including CRM, ad sales, campaign management, audience data and reporting. You will connect these capabilities into a clear end-to-end architecture across Broadcast and Digital.
Your role
You will own the architecture view for commercial technology, helping teams make confident, well-informed technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the technical architecture across CDP, CRM, ad sales, campaign management, ad serving, programmatic platforms, reporting and integrations.
- Ensure the architecture supports the full commercial journey, from audience and proposition through sales, campaign delivery, measurement and reporting.
- Partner with Commercial, Product, Data and Ad Operations teams to integrate advertising technology across Broadcast and Digital.
- Lead design reviews, surface options and trade-offs, maintain the shared technical model and drive clear Architecture Decision Records.
- Guide build, buy and integrate decisions, considering reuse, lifecycle and total cost of ownership.
- Engage Security, Legal, Finance and Infrastructure early so solutions are secure, practical and well governed.
- Provide architectural oversight of vendors and balance local market needs with shared standards and scalable capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Skills you will bring:
Essential:
- Strong technical foundations and solutions architecture experience.
- Practical experience with commercial or marketing technology, such as CDP, CRM, ad sales or campaign management platforms.
- Experience working with data teams on data flows, structures and non-functional requirements.
- Clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to lead through influence, collaboration, patience and persuasion in a multi-market environment.
Desirable:
- Cloud experience, ideally AWS.
- Knowledge of system integration or iPaaS tooling.
- Experience in media, broadcast or advertising technology.
