Commercial, Technology & Data Protection Associate

Location: London
Salary: £80,000 - £95,000

We are working with a well-established law firm based in London, who are seeking a Commercial, Technology and Data Protection Associate to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to advise a broad range of corporate, technology and other sophisticated clients on commercial, technology and data protection matters, within a collaborative and highly regarded practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on a broad range of commercial contracts, including supply, outsourcing, distribution and licensing arrangements.
  • Advising technology companies and other businesses on IT and technology transactions, including software licensing, cloud services and digital transformation projects.
  • Advising on UK GDPR and data protection matters, including data processing agreements, privacy compliance and data governance frameworks.
  • Supporting clients on commercial and technology issues arising from wider transactions, new products and business initiatives.
  • Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development and the growth of the practice.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ PQE, with strong experience in commercial law, technology and data protection.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial contracts, technology law and UK data protection legislation.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to advise sophisticated clients on complex commercial, technology and data protection issues.
