Role Overview

As the Commercial Trading Manager, you will play a key role in driving commercial performance through insight-led trading, category performance management, and cross-functional collaboration. You will support the development of trading frameworks, reporting, and performance reviews to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and optimise revenue and margin performance across the business.

A core focus of the role will be supporting and enhancing category trading activity, ensuring clear visibility of performance drivers and delivering actionable recommendations that improve commercial outcomes.

Lead a high performing team of analysts through this exciting period of growth and progression.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting commercial category trading through detailed performance analysis and opportunity identification to drive growth across key categories.
  • Leading and developing category trading reporting and governance, ensuring clear performance visibility and robust decision-making across the business.
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities through customer, market, and performance insight, providing recommendations to optimise trading performance.
  • Supporting the delivery of business strategic trading initiatives, working cross-functionally to ensure successful implementation, performance tracking, and achievement of commercial objectives.
  • Developing portfolio categorisation and driving adoption across the business to support prioritisation, alongside delivering product and contracting reporting to enhance commercial visibility and decision-making.
  • Building strong relationships across the business to influence stakeholders and ensure alignment on commercial priorities.

Requirements

  • Commercial or trading experience.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
  • Experience in planning frameworks and transformation delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial and analytical capability.
  • Highly organised with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset and cross-functional approach.
