Medium Duty Truck Service Advisor

Mayfield Ford Lincoln is looking for a Medium Duty Truck Service Advisor to add to their team in Brampton. Mayfield Ford Lincoln is proud to be a member of The Humberview Group, representing 20 dealerships and 18 automotive brands.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Service Advisor to take on a specialized role focused on growing and managing our truck, commercial, fleet and medium-duty service business.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands the importance of building strong customer relationships, identifying repair opportunities, communicating effectively with technicians and customers, and producing profitable service business.

The successful candidate will play an important role in developing our truck and commercial customer base while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Compensation

Base salary plus performance bonus. Ranging from $80,000 to $115,000 a year.

What You'll Do

  • Manage truck, commercial and medium-duty service customers from check-in through vehicle delivery.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with fleet and commercial customers.
  • Develop new commercial and fleet business opportunities.
  • Work closely with technicians to understand vehicle concerns and recommended repairs.
  • Clearly explain recommended repairs, maintenance, and diagnostic findings to customers.
  • Present estimates and obtain customer authorization.
  • Maximize customer-pay repair opportunities while maintaining a high level of trust and transparency.
  • Monitor repair orders to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and profitably.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding repair status and completion times.
  • Follow up with customers after service to encourage retention and future business.
  • Identify opportunities for additional maintenance and repairs based on vehicle condition and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete repair-order documentation.
  • Work closely with Parts, Technicians, Warranty and Service Management.
  • Help grow the dealership’s presence within the local commercial and fleet market.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • A great attitude!
  • Customer service experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of trucks and commercial vehicles.
  • Previous Service Advisor experience.
  • A valid Drivers License and clean driving record is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on building and maintaining relationships.
  • Experience with CDK is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Takes initiative and is self-motivated.
  • Skilled communicator (both written and oral).
  • Able to resolve conflict.
  • Ford experience and familiarity with Ford truck products, commercial vehicles and fleet customers would be an asset.
  • A desire to achieve the very best in customer service and teamwork.
