Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Tyre Fitter role based in Bellshill. The Commercial Tyre Fitter will be responsible for fitting, removing, and repairing commercial vehicle tyres on trucks, buses, agricultural and industrial vehicles, both in the workshop and at customer locations. Daily tasks include inspecting tyres and wheels for wear and damage, carrying out puncture repairs, balancing and rotating tyres, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The role will involve operating tyre fitting equipment and tools, maintaining accurate records of work completed, and following company procedures and health and safety guidelines. The Commercial Tyre Fitter will also support the 24-hour call-out service on a rota basis, providing prompt roadside assistance to commercial customers and delivering a professional, customer-focused service at all times.

- Commercial tyre fitting and removal skills, including experience with truck, bus, agricultural, and industrial tyres.
- Ability to diagnose tyre wear and damage, perform puncture repairs, and carry out wheel balancing and rotation.
- Safe use of tyre fitting equipment, hand tools, and lifting devices, with strong awareness of health and safety practices.
- Valid UK driving licence (LGV/HGV licence or mobile fitting experience is an advantage).
- Basic mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles and wheels is beneficial.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with commercial clients on site and roadside.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as within a team, including participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and undertake physically demanding tasks safely.
- Previous experience in tyre fitting or a related automotive role is preferred; industry-recognized tyre fitting or safety certifications are an advantage.
