Role Description
This full-time, on-site Commercial Tyre Technician role is based in Kingswinford. The position involves inspecting, fitting, removing, and repairing commercial vehicle tyres for trucks, vans, and fleet vehicles, both in the workshop and at customer sites when required. The technician will perform wheel balancing, torquing, and basic alignment checks, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

- Diagnosing tyre-related issues
- Maintaining accurate service records
- Handling tyre stock
- Using appropriate tools and equipment safely
- Delivering professional customer service
- Collaborating with colleagues and drivers
- Following company procedures and health and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Practical experience in commercial tyre fitting, removal, repair, and wheel balancing on trucks and vans.
- Strong understanding of tyre types, load ratings, pressure requirements, and basic alignment principles.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, lifting equipment, and workshop machinery, following all health and safety procedures.
- Competence in recording job details, completing service documentation, and communicating clearly with customers and colleagues.
- Full UK driving licence; experience with mobile tyre service work or roadside assistance is an advantage.
- Previous work in tyre retail, fleet maintenance, or commercial vehicle workshops is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to work flexibly, including night call out, and to undertake relevant training and certifications.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
